I’ve found that almost always in life, the juice IS worth the squeeze.
Sorry if I’m being a little weird, let me explain…
In life, we take risks.
For example, starting a new job.
Going somewhere new.
Talking to that person next to us on the train.
Meeting someone new.
Starting a business.
Trying a new activity.
Often, these seem like difficult things to do at the time.
But in reality, they have very little downside risk.
In fact, they have huge upside potential.
You have little to lose trying to start a conversation with someone new.
At worst, the conversation will be awkward.
But you could meet someone awesome who turns into a close friend and opens up opportunities for you.
You have little to lose trying to start a business.
At worst, you’ll fail and end up losing a little bit of time and money.
But your business could be a huge success and afford you experiences which you would never have had otherwise.
You have little to lose taking small risks in life.
Life is mostly random and based on luck.
But if you constantly try new things, you’ll eventually end up striking gold.
As a general rule in life, the juice is almost always worth the squeeze
(apart from the counter-intuitive world of trading/investing, which is beyond the scope of this silly blog post)
